Haircoats are beautiful when using EquiPride!

El Rio Gato is a 7 year old Quarter Horse stallion standing in Elm Grove, Louisiana. “Gato” is by “High Brow Cat”, the leading sire of cutting horses, out of an own daughter of “Doc Olena”.

When Brett Wise of BW Cutting Horses bought Gato, he had a rough haircoat, abscesses on his feet and was not in top condition (Brett said he looked like an Angora goat). But after three to four weeks on EquiPride™, Gato’s old hair slicked off, he put on an excellent, healthy coat, his abscesses healed and he’s now in top condition, breeding sometimes twice a day.

Prior to feeding EquiPride, Brett’s operation had only been able to achieve a mare, foal heat detection and settlement rate of 50%, but now this has jumped to 100% of mare’s in foal heat! Brett has never seen this before in the 10 years he’s been breeding horses.

Gato’s semen was tested at the nearby Moon Lake Equine Center and even though he didn’t take well to the artificial gathering (he had bred twice the day before – and horses often have problems in first artificial gathers), yielding up a very small amount, the semen they did get had a motility of 90%+ and the count was high enough to breed 15 mares from that sample alone!

Brett said that he can only attribute this to EquiPride. It’s the single supplement Gato gets and he is fed only a run-of-the-mill feed and alfalfa hay.

All of Brett’s horses and cattle are now on SweetPro products! The mares and foals in pasture use SweetPro non-molasses lick blocks as do his buffalo. People comment that these buffalo are the healthiest and strongest they’ve ever seen and this is in an area of the country where they are more susceptible to parasites and diseases not found in their home ranges.

Brett has another very special horse on EquiPride. “March Time Oak” is a 19 year old Quarter Horse from Oregon (own son of “Docs Oak”). Brett bought this horse after it had been turned out into a pasture where the broodmares beat him up and the foals ate his tail. After getting the horse back into shape, he then won the 2002 10K Non-Pro ACHA World Championship!

Brett said that the horse had brittle feet and it was always a chore to shoe him. After getting him on EquiPride, (he was the first horse Brett put on it) his feet started growing ½ inch every 4 weeks and the hoof wall is thicker and solid. The farrier can’t get over it, especially how fast this happened.

March Time Oak was always a fit horse, but after putting him on EquiPride, his haircoat, which Brett said he didn’t think could get any better, Got Better! His thin main is now much thicker and the tail, which had not grown in the six years prior, grew a foot! In addition, the horse feels much better and will give a lot more in competition.
